Much is written about the role of a vestry in the Episcopal Church. Grace in the Desert follows canon law as prescribed by the Episcopal Church, USA.
Our Vestry is guided and governed by a constitution and bylaws that set
out the preferences decided on by
the Parish. Working in partnership with the clergy, members of the vestry are legal
agents in the congregation
who, with the clergy, provide leadership that envisions the future, and engages others
in that vision, empowering all to work together,
energizing all in the spirit of accomplishment and exemplifying the vision through ones
behavior.
