Caring Hands is a ministry of both clergy and laity, who provide short term assistance to members of our congregation and is coordinated by The Rev. Deacon Barbara Preas; volunteers are the heart of this ministry. Volunteers are needed to prepare meals, deliver meals and run other errands.

• Meals after a hospital stay including the birth of a new baby.
• Meals after the death of a loved one.
• Errands such as short-term grocery shopping or pharmacy pick ups.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Grace is designed to bring together people who knit or crochet shawls, blankets, hats for newborns, etc. Completed pieces are blessed during a Eucharist. These items are given to people in need – for reasons of illness or distress of any kind. They can also be given in celebration – the birth of a child, a baptism or a wedding.

Shawls may take many forms: they might be triangular, round or rectangular or they may be small blankets suitable for babies or laps. They might be made as a single piece, or may be assembled from smaller parts, like a granny square afghan.
