Adult Christian Education is under the direction of both Clergy & trained Lay ministers. Plans are being made to return to Christian Ed programs between the two Sunday services from 9:15 - 10:15am.

Special Seasonal Studies

Advent programs are announced a month prior to the first Sunday in Advent.

Lenten studies with Soup Suppers, begin on the Wednesday evening following Ash Wednesday, and continue for 5 Wednesdays, ending prior to Palm Sunday.

Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience though wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum, the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle and late childhood and beyond. The tools for this program were created by Duane Schaefer, former parishioner and skilled craftsman.

Teachers gather the kids from Church after the beginning service and follow the Crucifer to the Parish Hall. Teachers are alerted by an usher when the Peace begins in the church and they accompany the children back to church.

Grace in the Desert offers Nursery School to children aged 0 to three(3) and Sunday School for the following age groups:

• Age four(4) to 2^nd grade: (Held outside the Parish Hall Nursery)
• 3^rd grade to 5^th grade: (Parish Hall Conference Room)
• Youth group: 6^th grade to 12^th grade (Parish Hall )

The Sunday School classes are taught by teams of two people that are licensed by the Diocese.

The Youth Group class is taught at a table in the Parish Hall dining area.

Grace Nursery

The Nursery is a spacious and safe area that is always covered by two people that are licensed by the Diocese. It is open at 10:15am to assure that parents can attend the 10:30am Service.
